CORGI are once again mailing people whose names have been obtained from the Gas Work Notification database, which should by now have been put beyond their use. It is not their data. Registered Gas Businesses were - in effect - required by law to supply the details of gas installations and customers to CORGI when they were the body approved by the HSE to maintain a register of competent gas businesses. CORGI has now been ousted and replaced by the Gas Safe Register.

The CORGI HomeCare scheme is now called the CORGI HomePlan scheme as CORGI surrendered the HomeCare trademark which British Gas already owned previously.
