ACS Re-assessments

ACS re-assessments in a day ‘unrealistic’. That is the headline in H & V News, February 1 2003. The source of this headline can be traced back to a Senior Industry Insider. Yet no clue is offered in re the Senior Industry Insider. Rather odd that. Anyone who qualified for that illustrious status should not be afraid to identify themselves ?

It is we who should all be allowed to make the judgment whether or not the alleged Senior Industry Insider is indeed just that ? You may therefore safely assume that the title Senior Industry Advisor is infact simply a euphemism for ‘directly affected vested interest’, hence the anonymity.

The source launches the attack and then immediately goes off topic to distract the reader with red-herrings. Clever stuff but not clever enough. Mr Average Punter (me) has been there, done it and got the T shirt. Providing they don’t tamper with the Assessor to Delegate ratio (we’ll be watching closely), anyone could murder all domestic modules in a day, based upon the new model being mooted.

If we sling all the red-herrings in the moggy’s bowl and concentrate on the facts you may recall that the next round of ACS would be more practical oriented and of course emphasis will lean more on changes in the industry.

I have no doubt that any statistically identified areas of weakness logged by Corgi will also be reflected in ACS II and that is not unreasonable. Otherwise we suggest you disregard the hysterical headline as mendacious nonsense by an industry sore loser.

British Gas

Our imminent focus on British Gas sales has been usurped in part by the superb star letter in H & V News from someone not afraid to identify themselves. With the distinguishing letters MCIBSE after his name, I would suggest he is qualified to comment.

Sir’s Mother has a 12 year old BBU which BG have allegedly said may be past it’s best and therefore worthy of a modern boiler replacement that “could save you up to 37 per cent on your heating bills. That’s the equivalent of saving up to £2000 during the life span of the boiler”.

Clever Sir has spotted that in the small print the ‘life span of the boiler’ is held as being 15 years. Well spotted Sir. Do you want the address of Rogue Traders, or should that be Rogue Entrepreneurs ?
